Sichuan Normal University is the first university in Sichuan Province that holds undergraduate normal education and has the longest-running history among normal universities and colleges. Sichuan Normal University is one of Sichuan's foreign exchange centers and has established extensive academic exchange and talent training relations with universities in many countries and regions.

The College of International Education is the training base for professionals in international education of Chinese language and international students in western China, and undertakes the daily affairs of teaching management for international students at Sichuan Normal University.

Relying on the training of international Chinese teacher scholarship students of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, the Undergraduate Class for training South Asian Chinese language teachers, the construction of HSK test center, the construction of three Confucius Institutes abroad and one foreign Confucius Classroom abroad of Sichuan Normal University, and more than 100 overseas cooperative universities and colleges of Sichuan Normal University, the College vigorously develops the language and educational background training of undergraduate students and international students in international education of Chinese language. Over the past 35 years, Sichuan Normal University has cultivated more than 10,000 international students at all levels.

Non-degree Language Language Program

   I. Chinese Language Course

Enrollment Target:

Foreigners with the willingness to learn Chinese

Teaching Objectivess:

To enable learners to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing at the original level

Chinese Language Course is a non-academic language course. Students can choose to learn online or offline according to their own learning requirements and start to learn when they are ready. Before they enroll, they will be placed in language classes appropriate to their level by the College through language tests.

2. The Arrangement of Semesters and Class Hours

Two semesters per year: classes start in March and September

Classes are held for 16 weeks per semester, 20 class hours per week, and 4 class hours per day from Monday to Friday

3. The Features of Chinese Language Class:

①The language class has multiple levels and a rich curriculum without threshold.

You can start to learn when you are ready with online and offline methods at flexible time.

② The quality of teaching can be guaranteed by high-quality teachers and small-class teaching.

5 students minimumly and 15 students  maximumly in a class

Experienced professional teachers: there are 29 full-time teachers. Among them, 14 teachers have a Doctor Degree, 12 teachers have senior professional titles, 10 teachers are master supervisors and one teacher is a doctoral supervisor. There is one outstanding teacher and two rising stars in teaching.

③ Unique Tianfu cultural experience

Rich experience of the Tianfu culture system with ancient Shu culture as the core, water culture, Three Kingdoms culture, poetry culture, and folk culture

 Water culture: It is represented by Dujiangyan, Hejiang Pavilion, etc

 Three Kingdoms culture: It is represented by Wuhou Temple

 Ancient Shu culture: It is represented by Chengdu Museum of Boat-shaped Coffin Relics of Ancient Shu Kingdom, Sanxingdui, Jinsha site, etc

① Non-Chinese citizen

② Physical and mental health, no criminal record

③ Age requirements:

 The age ranges from 18 to 60. Applicants above the age of 16 and below the age of 18 must have a guardian.

④ The inbound students shall abide by the laws and regulations of the government of P. R. C. and the regulations of the university.

 HSK special training is a short-term sprint class for international students who need to pass the HSK test.

    Enrollment Target:

Foreigners with requirement of HSK grading

Teaching Results:

Through targeted intensive training, learners can pass the HSK test at the corresponding level

Remarks:

① Class schedule: 8 class hours of listening class, 8 class hours of reading class, 12 class hours of writing class, and 4 class hours of examination guidance

②45 minutes/class hour

③More than six people are required to start a class. For two or more applicants, there will be a 5% discount

Foreign passport holders with valid residence permits in China

3. Charging standards

Campus Life

Teaching Condition: The Library of Sichuan Normal University has a collection of more than 2.5 million volumes and it is open to international students. Sichuan Normal University has sufficient teaching and scientific research facilities, as well as an advanced computer network system, which provides convenience for students' study
